Half-price sale starts tomorrow, 1 October! Get 50% off nearly all* physical products in my Etsy store to clear my stock as I downsize my store.

I'll be continuing to sell knitting patterns and just a few of my bestsellers, as well as offering custom knits if requested. I just don't have time any more to keep creating and marketing new items, or to attend craft fairs, so most of my existing stock needs to go.

P.S. Knitting patterns are included in the sale, even though they're not technically taking up space in my workroom - so if you're a knitter, take advantage and grab yourself a bargain!

Sorry, but I will no longer be shipping to the USA. The tariff situation is just too complicated and expensive for the very few physical products I sell to the US.

I'm going to be reducing my range of physical products anyway - watch out for a clearance sale coming soon!

In the meantime, all my knitting patterns are still available to anyone anywhere in the world, so there's no excuse not to make your own WombleKnits knits!

New project! I loved making my Sea Glass Sweater so much that I decided to use the stitch pattern idea, and more specifically the swatch idea, to make a blanket for my bed.

I'm going to use up some of the worsted cotton I won't use for WombleKnits now that I've switched to using recycled cotton. Most of the colours I'm left with are very 'me' colours and work well with the blues, whites and pinks I have in my bedroom. Perfect!

I'm back to working on my lower case bubble letters and I think "x" has to be the cutest of the lot so far! It's just such a satisfying shape, and a very pleasing, symmetrical shape to knit and sew up 😊

It's also multipurpose, as it would work well as a multiplication sign to go with my numbers too!

Only 5 letters to go now...

So the reason I haven't been around much lately is that my new job as a carer was taking up most of my time, and amateur dramatics have been taking up what was left!

Just to be clear, I am LOVING being a carer and don't begrudge the time spent on it at all. If just hasn't left me with any time for WombleKnits. However, I have now passed my 3 month probation at work and finished all my training (for now), and it's show week with the amateur dramatics so I'm finally hoping to have a little more time for my knitting and designing again.

I'm hoping to have news about a bit of a revamp for WombleKnits to share with you very soon. But in the meantime, if you're anywhere near Chelmsford, Essex, this week please do come along and see Springers' production of All Shook Up. It's vibrant and colourful and so much fun, you're bound to go home smiling and singing!

A set of 5 Prosecco cork mummies went all the way to America and it was so lovely to get such a wonderful review for them!

I love the idea of using these mummies as bar decor!

A different kind of creativity! I'm not much of a painter, but I really enjoyed an evening out at Ceramics on the Hop recently, decorating this plant pot for my Mum. It was so exciting to get it back last night, all glazed and finished. Loving the vibrant colours!
