Staff Recruitment & Retention – Best Practices
11:15am on 10 November 2022

As a part of our People & Business thread, Stacey mead of the HR Dept Bristol, Bath & North Somerset leads a discussion about the real challenges that employers and business leaders are seeing around Staff recruitment and retention.

Our working environments and employment cultures have shifted following the COVID pandemic, with remote working, fewer candidates in the market place and a prevailing jobs market well in favour of candidates looking for improved opportunities.

What are the practices and policies that will make a difference and how do employers differentiate themselves as an attractive business to be working for?

11:30am on 09 November 2022
LIVETALK stage

Environmental - Social - Governance… Where does Social sit in our business thinking? As our understanding of relational business improves, we’re becoming clearer about the value the business community brings to the wider community.

By understanding the social value that we can create as businesses we can support wider business growth, skills, employment, and by extension the wider society.

When we add awareness and a focus on Environmental issues, business ethics and broad best business practice, then putting Social Value into business becomes a force for good, differentiating your business for the better.

Flexible working – Changing Cultures
12:30pm UK 27th October 2022

COVID dramatically changed the world of work. Almost overnight many businesses either closed completely or moved to a working from home model.

One year on from the business community opening up, how are we dealing with the shift to hybrid working? While some employers are trying to get everyone back into the office, many employees are valuing flexibility more than ever.

Against a background of the ‘great resignation’ and ‘quiet quitting’, join us to discuss how businesses can embrace flexibility and hybrid to recruit and retain the best employees.
