Real Life have launched a new range of services to compliment their highly successful patient advocacy offer. So far, our team have successfully secured full NHS funding in 87% of cases where we represented families either at an appeal of a Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Decision, a current CHC assessment or helped to gain a refund of previously paid Care Home Fees using the retrospective review process outlined by the NHS.
We have found that many families come to us because they are flumoxed by the conflicting and confusing information surrounding their entitlement to financial support for payment of Care Home Fees. Often they are told that “if you can pay, you must,” without realising there are other pots of money and help available. We can help families to get all of the financial support they are entitled to without compromising on patient care.
If you know of a family with someone either in care or just about to go into care, we can help. Our highly trained Continuing Healthcare Specialists will listen to the families’ concerns and needs and put together a plan of action. We have a broad range of experts within our team to offer support and sound advice to ensure that families understand the options available to them especially with regards to:
• Accessing the financial support available including benefits and part/full Local Authority support and NHS funding
• Selecting and sourcing the RIGHT care placement and negotiating a fair rate
• Arranging the legal documents required when someone goes into care
• Attending and representing families at Continuing Healthcare assessments, panels and appeals
We understand that people are busy and planning care for a loved one can be very stressful and time consuming.
