See it : Do it workshops are a series of events at Cheltenham Art Office. They are relevant, practical and give people very necessary skills for their business. We’ve planned them so you actually do some of the things you need to on the day, before you have time to forget what you’ve been learning, with lots of helpful support from the tutor team.

I had a very enjoyable session at Create on the Square on Wednesday. Interesting discussions about what our writing says about us and our business, and the difference between how we communicate face to face or in writing. We also looked at the kinds of things about our writing that might give a negative impression to people.

I always enjoy sharing a much simpler way of getting apostrophes right, rather than the half-remembered rules about apostrophes of possession. Why is it the dog's dinner, the dogs' dinner and the men's dinner? Explain without referring to plural nouns.

The workshop on Wednesday will have more time to look at all this, check out proofreading skills, look at how different pieces of writing 'work' - or not, and making sure the writing process we use is as quick and efficient as possible.

Best of all, bring your laptop and put it all into practice working on any piece of writing you need to do or improve.
