Some women might fear showing up to a big industry event and spotting someone in the same dress… because as women, we’ve been conditioned to compare, to compete, to feel like there’s not enough room for all of us.

But that’s not what I’m about 💁🏼‍♀️ That’s not who I am, and honestly, it’s not what our industry should be about either ❌

I’m a girl’s girl, and I’m all about uplifting and making other women feel good too 👯‍♀️

So when I saw these incredible women in the same dress, I owned the moment and approached them both.

We connected, we giggled, we complimented each other, and we even grabbed photos together 🖤✨

And here’s how I see it……. If we weren’t in the same dress that night, we may never have met or connected like we did, and that’s what made it so special.

The month of love 💘

FEBRUARY ✨

But this year it held a deeper meaning for me.

It was about coming home to myself.

This month looked like quiet moments, deep breaths, big realisations… and slowly feeling like me again.

After the divorce.
After the relocation.
After the chaos of trying to hold everything together.

There was a period where I felt like I was just surviving motherhood, not really present in it.

And that broke my heart a little.

But something has shifted.

This month I’ve caught myself laughing more with my girl, slowing down, being fully in the moment instead of in my head.

And it’s reminded me of something really powerful…

The most important love we’ll ever build is the one we have with ourselves.

Because when you come back to yourself…
your energy changes.
your peace returns.
your presence deepens.

And suddenly you’re not just getting through life…

you’re living it again.

Ever finished a fully booked week…

Yesterday I was certain.
Confident.
Expanding. ✨

Today?
Day 1.

Lower energy.
Overthinking.
Second guessing everything that felt solid 24 hours ago. 😬

And suddenly my brain wants to humble me.

For a Beauty CEO, it sounds like:

💬 “Who do I actually think I am calling myself an ‘expert’?”
💬 “What if I lose clients by showing up as my real personality?”
💬 “Should I have given that client that advice yesterday… did I overstep?”
💬 “What if she never books back in?”
💬 “Should I even post this? What if they judge me?”
💬 “What if the other girls in my industry think I’m delusional?”
💬 “What if this all disappears?”

And the quiet one?

💭 “What if it’s all too good to be true?”

That’s not strategy.
That’s self-protection. 🛡️

It’s like my thoughts try to self-sabotage to keep me safe.

And the dangerous part?

It feels intelligent.
It feels intuitive.
It even feels true. 😳

But here’s what I’ve learned:

⚡ Anxiety is commonly mistaken as intuition…. because it feels urgent.
It screams:
“Pull back.”
“Delete it.”
“Lower the price.”
“Stay likeable.”
“Don’t outgrow them.”

Urgency masquerades as wisdom.

🌊 Intuition? Calm.
Steady.
Grounded.
If something is truly off, it lands as certainty — not panic.

So I don’t dismantle my growth on Day 1 anymore.

I adapt. 🩷
No big decisions.
No dramatic pivots.
Admin on the go.
Long walk to clear the mental noise.
Fill my own cup. 💅

Because I don’t need protecting from my own power.

That’s fluidity.

Now imagine having me in your corner 💁‍♀️

reminding you what’s real
when your brain/hormones try to shrink you.

The support.
The stability.
The grounded leadership. 🏆

When you learn that prioritising yourself is teaching your children to do the same 🎀💫

So the first shift was this:
I stopped asking, “How do I avoid upsetting everyone?”
And started asking, “What standard am I modelling for her?”

Discomfort isn’t damage.
Normalising absence is.

Then the next shift:
People will judge.
Most will only understand enough to make sense in their world.

If they’re willing to stay somewhere unhappy —
a relationship, a job, a business that’s running them, a house that feels empty —
how could I expect them to meet me and understand my choice?

This is the same shift I coach inside my 1:1.

So many Beauty CEOs stay stuck because they protect the image:
“It’s fine. It’s steady. It’s not that bad.”

Meanwhile they’re modelling undercharging, overgiving, not being seen.

Sometimes quiet misalignment is enough to teach the wrong lesson.
