A New Venture from Shearer Associates 💫



Harry from Shearer Associates popped in yesterday for a catch up and to properly introduce us to their new business Breeze Recruitment. Offering the same excellent level of service they’re known for, but to a broader range of roles.

Breeze Recruitment offers recruitment support across all office-based and operational roles. Think IT, HR, marketing, operations, administration, customer service, sales, procurement, project management and everything in between.

If you need a local, friendly face to help with any recruitment Harry and Clare are on hand to help. And to celebrate their new venture they are offering all C2S Members a reduced rate of 10% for new roles registered in October and November!

Scaling at pace without losing your culture.

A really open and insightful Leader Boardroom this morning with Colin Beard and Josh Isaac from Prosperity Care & Wellbeing, sharing the story of their growth so far.

What came through very strongly was the passion behind the business and their determination to do the right thing, right — even as the organisation grows and the pressures and complexities increase.

We talked about the realities of scaling at pace: developing the right leadership team, bringing people with you, maintaining standards, making difficult decisions and, importantly, protecting the culture that helped you grow in the first place.

Thank you to Colin and Josh for being so open about both the opportunities and the challenges, and to everyone around the table for sharing their own experiences and perspectives. That openness is exactly what our Leader Boardrooms are about — creating space to step away from the day-to-day and learn from people who are facing many of the same questions.

Our next Leader Boardroom is on 11 November, when we’ll look at growth and scaling from a different perspective with long-established angel investor John Caines, sharing lessons from more than 30 years of building, backing and growing businesses.
