These animals went stomping through some paint; marched across the paper and then leapt into a bubble bath!! Everyone had a favourite part of this process, some loving getting covered in paint and others enjoying getting everything clean again! A great way to encourage mark making in those less keen on pens and pencils etc.

What a wonderful world!! Never underestimate the play value of freebies such as paint colour swatches and pine cones! This had all children fully engaged in their creatvitiy and imagination; and was totally led by them.

We walked to our local church today where the children wrote in the book of remembrance for the Queen. Some could write their names and others made some of their own marks. Either way they are part of history.

Watercolours on ice 🥰🥰🥰 the children and I LOVED this. The beautiful swirls and colours that we created were just stunning. We chatted about the colours mixing, and just enjoyed the calming nature of this dreamlike activity.

Beautiful creations made to keep our seaside holiday treasures safe. The children all loved squidging and squashing the clay on their boards. When they were ready, they filled their jam jar lid and arranged the shells and pebbles.

BIG painting ❤️ and just look at those clever little hands holding the paintbrushes beautifully 😍. Such an easy set up but such a popular one always - I just love seeing how the children end up combining their ideas as their paintings grow. We started with planets and then an astronaut and so much opportunity for language and sharing ideas.

A beautiful morning having a beautiful adventure with the team ❤️. We loved the nature reserve and seeing lots of different birds. We brought along our bird spotting book and ticked off some new ones!

The Little Explorers have been really interested in their shadows when we've been out walking recently. So today I asked them; "What colour are shadows?".
What followed was a wonderful exploration, testing their theory that shadows are always black. They were fascinated by the colourful shadows they created with the magnetic tiles and not only learnt about the colours they could make but also where they needed to stand and line up the tiles to make a shadow and not block the sun.
