8 yrs ago today - 23rd October 2012, London had just hosted the bestest Olympic & Paralympic Games EVER & I jumped ship from L&P/VisitLondon to launch my own business in destination marketing, brand & communications. England is now welcoming the following 59 countries' visitors quarantine free. If you're heading in, English destinations will be happy to have you here and if you're returning from holiday to one of these places, no need to quarantine on your return.

Quarantine scrapped for arrivals from 'low risk' countries to England from Friday 10th July - full list published later today. PLUS Foreign Office is also changing its advice against all but essential travel to a number of countries from Saturday 4th July.

Arrivals to England from Germany and Italy will also no longer need to isolate, ministers confirm.

The list of travel corridors with the UK is due to be published this coming week and is expected to include in Europe: Spain, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Turkey, Germany and Norway - but not Portugal or Sweden just yet.

Travel companies hail news Britons will be able to visit some European countries without self-isolating on their return.

'We're Good to Go' - VisitBritain launches UK-wide industry standard & consumer mark to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for tourism as the sector works towards reopening. This will enable businesses across the sector to demonstrate that they are adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and check they have the required processes in place. Look for the mark before you book!
