Resolve Optics Ltd has for over 20 years developed OEM quantity special lenses and optical designs for small and large high technology businesses. Resolve Optics has developed the rare capability to produce small quantities of high performance, mounted lenses with the professional look, feel and quality equivalent to the best professional photographic and broadcast TV lenses. Drawing upon our experienced team of optical designers we are able to quickly gain an understanding of the basic physics of the technology associated with each customer's product enabling us to propose novel solutions. Our aim is to provide a fast and flexible optical and mechanical design assessment on all projects. FAQ: How long does it take to design and deliver a custom lens?

A: This is a common question we are often asked – put simply the lead time will depend on the complexity of the design. However, for most fixed focus lenses our aim is to supply you with an initial proposal within 1 week of the enquiry. Once a specification has been agreed, and an order placed, it typically takes around 4 months to complete the design, manufacture and deliver the first lenses. Applications that require more complicated optical or mechanical design solutions can take longer but lead time will always be advised with each proposal.

New climate testing service for lenses.

We have just ordered an advanced climate chamber – allowing us to temperature test the lenses we supply to customers. This new climate chamber simulates extreme thermal changes enabling us to check optical performance, focus shift, and material durability. The chamber offers accurate program test cycles from -70°c up to 180°c. In conjunction with our inhouse vibration and shock testing equipment this allows us to further qualify our ruggedised lenses before shipment. This suite of testing services is available to give customers peace of mind that our supplied lenses will operate happily in the extreme environments they were designed for such as space, aircraft and military ground-based vehicles.
