This 20-year-old Neff double oven had a faulty timer.
The timer would intermittently reset, stopping the main oven from working. Rather than replace the timer, which would have cost over £150 just for the part, I suggested that it would be better to bypass the timer.
The customer never used the automatic function so bypassing the timer would be a better solution.

This Zanussi freestanding cooker's main oven had stopped heating up.
You always need to test that the fan motor is running at a good speed, the fan cools the element and distributes the heat into the oven.
If the fan is slow the element will overheat and burn out prematurely.

A gorgeous 'Rangemaster' cooker with a faulty timer.
Both ovens had stopped working when the timer failed. After checking the voltage to the timer I worked out that there was no live feed. I quickly discovered a broken wire near the terminal block.

This Hotpoint double oven had a lot of corrosion on the rear fan cover. The corrosion had been caused by the customer using Caustic oven cleaner.
You can see the large pile of rust on the base of the oven.
At Chester Electric Oven Repairs we recommend just using hot soapy water, washing liquid and fitting a teflon oven liner inside the oven.

Another cooker saved from the scrap heap.
This 15 year old Stoves range cooker had a problem with the main oven control switch.
According to Stoves the switch was now obsolete but I managed to repair the control with a modern version of the control.

This Bosch built in oven needed the glass door rebounding after the silicone had failed.
After stripping the door and cleaning all the components I used a tippex marker to highlight the original position of the two brackets, cleaned off the old silicone and then rebonded.

This Rangemaster Cooker had been poorly installed and had stopped working, no power to the ovens or the ignition. On inspection the mains cable was loose and not clamped firmly to the terminal block, this had caused the terminal block to burn out.
