A few moments from last week’s BNI Chester meeting!
There’s a lot more to business networking than exchanging business cards and delivering a 60-second pitch.
Every Thursday morning, our BNI Chester group gets together to share ideas, learn about each other’s businesses, build relationships and, of course, have a few laughs along the way!
What I particularly enjoy is the variety of personalities and businesses in the room. Everyone brings something different to the table, and there’s always an opportunity to learn something new. Stephen showed us one of his tools and he won the 60 seconds!
These photographs capture a little of what goes on at our meetings. Conversations over coffee, members sharing their expertise, presentations, recognition and plenty of smiles.
And that’s something I think people sometimes misunderstand about networking. It’s not simply about turning up and expecting business. It’s about getting to know people, understanding what they do and building the trust that makes referrals possible.
Any successful business monitors its business. We do the same. How can we grow if we don’t!
