Hey everyone! (I know it's weekend), but;

As promised, I said I would love to educate you more on franchising, so today, I want to discuss franchising in simple terms.

So, what exactly is a franchise? Well, think of it as a Business Partnership.

In a franchise, two main parties are involved: the franchisor and the franchisee. The franchisor is the original owner of a successful business, and the franchisee is someone who wants to open their own business using the franchisor's proven brand and business model. (how good is this).

Now, why would someone want to open a franchise instead of starting a business from scratch?

Well, one of the most significant advantages is that the franchisee benefits from an established brand, a proven business model, and business assets the franchisor has created (such as courses, programs and methods). The franchisor has usually already figured out what works and what doesn't in their business, so the franchisee doesn't have to go through the trial and error phase, ultimately costing the potential franchisee a lot of risk, time and money. (and no one wants that)

Another great thing about franchises is the support system they provide. The franchisee will receive training and ongoing support from the franchisor, who will help you with things like marketing, operations, business and accounting. This can be a massive advantage to the franchisee, especially if they are new to the business world.

As a franchisor, you will attract franchise partners into your business and charge them an initial franchise fee, which means that you can SCALE your company rapidly without the financial capital and investment from yourself. (how good is this).

In addition to this immediate cash injection into your business, you may charge the franchisee a monthly service fee or/and % of profits for a set term, for example, three years.

This means the franchisor can sit back, knowing they can confidently forecast their revenue for the next three years or longer, avoiding the many income inconsistencies we see. (There are various methods around this, and SCALE franchise agency will recommend the best option for you).

Additionally, the franchisee will have to follow the rules and guidelines set by the franchisor. This is to maintain consistency and protect the brand, which ultimately benefits all parties.

In conclusion, a franchise is a business partnership where a franchisee opens their own business using a successful franchisor's brand and business model. It offers the advantage of a proven business model, a recognised brand, and ongoing support for collaborative success.
