Accelerbrain Training Systems From bright to brilliant to bottom line profits; taking already bright people to a new level of success and achievement...showing their true brilliance

AccelerBrain is a toolkit for senior managers and executives to maximise their performance. The strapline 'from bright to brilliant to bottom line profits' encompasses its objectives; taking already bright people to a new level of success and achievement...showing their true brilliance. Its overall concept is to enable executives to train their brain, build further personal intelligence and thus t

rain the 'business brain' ie the organisational systems. Some of the world's leading companies use the techniques in our system to gain a real competitive edge. Amanda E Clarke, and her management team have used their extensive business management and coaching experience to create a unique range of programmes guaranteed to help people fulfil their true potential whilst achieving their work goals. AccelerBrain is the fundamentals of 'accelerating the processing capabilities of the brain'. It has been created from two words 'Accelerate' and 'Brain'. The objective is provide you with the tools and technologies so that you can speed up your learning, processing of information, and progress in all areas of your life; whether it be for improved performance, better recruitment, conflict management, getting out of debt or creating a healthier lifestyle. AccelerBrain is a toolkit that will help you do the things you need to do, in a more effective, efficient and easy way. Our philosophy is simple; by understanding and learning how the brain works and how you can use that to your advantage, you can achieve more. The system consists of 5 elements:

1. Learning
2. Absorbing
3. Progressing
4. Communicating
5. Well-Being

Overload is a Design Problem.

If your team feels “information overloaded,” it’s not a performance issue — it’s biology.

The human brain can only hold around 3 to 5 meaningful chunks in working memory at any moment. When work systems exceed that, people don’t underperform… the system does.

The answer isn’t more data or more updates.

It’s clearer structure, better prioritisation, and information designed the way the brain actually works.

At Sterling Development International Leadership Academy, this is exactly the work I do with teams — helping leaders replace overwhelm with clarity, alignment and focus.

🇬🇧 Remembrance Sunday Reflections
One thing I always admire about the BBC is the way it orchestrates Remembrance Sunday and other royal parades with immense grace - the music, the silence, the sea of poppies, the sense of unity. It's when we truly feel our British spirit on display.

I'm always deeply moved but he stories of those who fought - the courage, endurance, bravery and fear at that time as they faced unimaginable horrors. It's a powerful reminder of what was given, what was lost, in pursuit of the 'freedom' we now take for granted.

Lest we forget.

It would be all too easy to forget, especially once those who lived through it pass on to another plane.
May their stories and humanity live on, reminding future generations of the sacrifices made, so that we continue to have the peace we have enjoyed for over 80 years.

And let us not forget those who are caught up in war today...may they find a path to peace swiftly and safely. 🕊️🙏

How to Read at the Speed of Thought

Skilled readers don’t move their eyes faster — they absorb faster.
PhotoReading trains the brain to take in whole chunks of information and extract meaning.
It’s like shifting from word-by-word reading to pattern recognition.
The goal isn’t speed — it’s efficiency.

The Myth of Multitasking in Learning

The human brain cannot multitask. It switches rapidly, losing up to 40% efficiency each time it changes focus.
That’s why “focus design” is a crucial part of brain-friendly learning.
Fewer slides. Shorter bursts. More depth.

If your team feels “information overloaded,” it’s not their fault.
The human brain has limited working memory — roughly seven chunks at a time.
The solution isn’t more data; it’s better structure.

Most corporate training is forgettable. changes that. We design brain-friendly experiences that activate curiosity, embed learning faster, and transform how people think, not just what they know. Real learning sticks when the brain is not overloaded.

Leaders Are Neuro-Architects.

Every conversation you lead changes someone’s brain chemistry.
Encouragement builds serotonin. Feedback releases cortisol. Recognition boosts dopamine.
Leadership is literally a neurochemical experience.

Fact or Fiction: 'Your brain can rewire itself, building new connections through a process called neuroplasticity' FACT! 👍Brain training helps strengthen these pathways, just like lifting weights for your mind. 💪 Try this simple exercise: memorise a shopping list or a sequence of numbers, and then challenge yourself by adding more items as you go. This boosts your memory without any special tools or equipment! Ready to give your brain a workout?

These are some of the reasons why we have been using colouring pens and exercises in all AccelerBrain seminars for 9 years!

In AccelerBrain seminars, we have always suggested that brain training games help you become better at the game, not necessary improving your brain's overall performance. Now there is some hard core evidence to support this....and, of course, there are the brain training software companies that are already criticising it. Read the evidence and let us know your opinion.

Cracked Fact 6. See attached photo.

Have you had this poster your inbox, or seen it posted on Facebook?

If so, you may well think you are a smarty pants because you found it easy enough to decipher what was written. The message suggests that you can read the words because the human mind reads words as a whole...this is partially true, but not the whole story.

First of all, there was never a study carried out at Cambridge University. Originally the email was sent without reference to Cambridge (circa 1999); the reference to Cambridge was added after The Times interviewed a Cambridge Neuropsycholist for comment.

Secondly, it’s not just the first and last letters that are used when reading text, it’s the meaning of the sentence as a whole (otherwise you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between “salt” and “slat”).

Thirdly, the way these words have been re-structured i.e. The adjacent letters have been changed so that it is still understandable...for example; the word problem has been spelt “porbelm” not “pbelorm” AND the English used in this paragraph is VERY simplistic. It would be much harder to read and decipher with more complex English.

Additional research shows that although we can read the sentences when text is jumbled; there is a cost! That cost is speed...you can never read them as quickly or efficiently as you can read normal text. Durham University has carried out research on this with their students and found that those who could normally read at speeds of 255 words per minute (wpm) with normal text, dropped to 227 wpm when letters were transposed (a 12% drop!)

The good news is, this email has increased the research on jumbled letters and letter order!

Now you can be the smarty pants when this comes up in conversation at your next dinner party or networking event because you know the truth :)

Thanks to John Burnett-Hall for sending me an email reminding me of this.
