A long shift getting the bottom mast pins out, don't think they've been greased since it left the factory in 1999 full service on the CAT 3208 engine. Two new pins machined up , new hydraulic hoses and a Test and the Caterpillar V620B 28T is back up to full chatter!

Appreciation to Peter Stott Haulage for the dismantle and transport — another solid team effort all round. 💪🏾🔧

We can now efficiently handle the loading and off-loading of our larger generator sets in-house, improving workflow, reducing downtime, and freeing up valuable space in the workshop.

Successful decommissioning of two KTA38-G14 generator units completed!
Over the course of three days on site, our team carried out the full disconnection and removal of both sets, including the exhaust systems, LV mains breaker panels, and fuel transfer lines, followed by the reinstallation of the louver system.

Project wrapped up smoothly – now heading back to Chesterfield!
