A delicate pencil sketch of a wren on a reed by British artist and sculptor

Before creating his limited edition bronze and silver sculptures, Ian observes his subjects in their natural habitat where possible, relying heavily on his life field drawings skills.

Our customer initially had quite a chunky black moulding in mind for this drawing however once we’d experimented with some other options, they decided on – we think – something much more harmonious with the artwork 🌿🍃🍂

Mount | Conservation-level solidcore mount in ‘Thatch’
