A lovely moment at the Shred Shop today!

One of our shredding customers popped in this morning to destroy some old paperwork from a spring clean — and ended up leaving with 10 plastic chairs for her garden!

These chairs came from a recent school clearance we completed, and instead of going to waste, they’re now getting a second life.

Even better, every penny from the sale is being donated to the RSPCA (England & Wales) , her chosen charity.

Her two adorable doggies tested out a couple of the chairs and gave them a big paws‑up 🐶🐶❤️❤️

At Identity Destruction, we love seeing good furniture reused rather than thrown away. Whenever we collect items during home or office clearances, we try to donate or resell them to raise money for charity. It’s good for the planet and good for the community.

🥚 Wacky & Wild Wednesdays Kickoff! 🥚

This week, the IDENTITY DESTRUCTION LTD shred-team launched our very first episode of our new light-hearted video series: Wacky and Wild Wednesdays!

To break up a busy week of shredding, recycling, and keeping data secure, we decided to try something… a little different. Inspired by TikToker Shanadventures99, the team took on a raw egg eating challenge - shell and all! 🥴😂

And what a showdown it was:

🥇 Stephen Bracher cracked the competition and took the win!
🥈 Jordan Dear followed bravely behind.
🥉 J***y Cauchi held his own!
😅 Ben… well, let’s just say the egg didn’t stay down.
🤣 Dan May didn’t even make it to the egg stage!

It was all in good fun and gave the whole team a much-needed midweek laugh. Stay tuned - more wild Wednesday challenges are coming soon!

Today’s star of the show 🎥 is our very own Operations Director Dan May, who was simply minding his business down at Screwfix picking up a new drill for work…
…but of course, he just couldn’t resist dropping a classic Dad Joke. 🙄🤣

Because sometimes the strongest tool in the box… is a terrible punchline. 😉

Office Clearance Completed in Hove! 📚✅

Today we carried out a full office clearance for a law firm in Hove. We carefully removed and cleared a large collection of legal volumes, leaving the space clean, organised, and ready for its next use.

A big thank you to our team for their great work and a special mention to Willow, our four-legged assistant for the day, who made sure morale stayed high! 🐶💼

🚨✊ BREAKING NEWS: The “Free Ben” movement is in full swing!

Today, our team took to the streets (okay, the warehouse) in a peaceful protest against plastic wallets! The true nemesis of every shredder operator.

Ben spends many hours every week removing paperwork from the dreaded plastic wallets, we have to do this to ensure our cross shredded paper is in good condition for when it gets sent to the mills for recycling ♻️

All we want is freedom… for Ben (our shredder tech who’s still recovering from this plastic wallet incident). 🤣

So next time you fill a confidential sack with your old paperwork remember to save the environment by using less plastic wallets 💚😂
