We kicked off with a lively tax chat from Jonathan Rowden – covering marriage allowances, scary numbers and the gentle reminder that HMRC always gets paid… whether you’re in love or not 💸

Despite the set-up throwing us a curveball, powered through with another strong session of referral marketing at its finest 💪
We kicked off with a multi-core-value masterclass from trevor thurgood… officially about Givers Gain, but somehow touring several others along the way (as only Trev can!) 👏
I took the Education Slot, sharing a few ways to find visitors via LinkedIn, NextDoor & Facebook—plus how to actually follow up (because we all meet great people… and then forget to message them 😅).
🔥 Heating things up (literally)…
Richard Shoubridge gave us a brilliant insight into smarter heating systems—less rollercoaster temps, more “Zen thermostat” and lower bills 🧘‍♂️
💸 Reality check of the week
Joshua Farrow DipPFS reminded us that 75% of UK workers risk underfunded retirement… but also showed how cashflow forecasting can bring clarity, control, and peace of mind ✅

What a fantastic morning celebrating the launch of Chi BNI, the newest addition to the BNI West Sussex family right here in Chichester! The room was buzzing from start to finish – a real showcase of the incredible local business community we’re building. Ably curated by Our Dear Founder himself Mr Tim Fifield

We kicked off with a message from Mike Holman, followed by some classic BNI education from David King a man so steeped in BNI, if you cut him in half he'd have the famous red and white logo running through him like a stick of rock!

From there, it was over to our brilliant founder members – and what a line-up:

Another brilliant week at BNI, packed with insight, humour and practical takeaways.

We heard from Richard Shoubridge on delivering super‑fast broadband everywhere (yes, even the shed 🙌), Jonathan Rowden on why checking numbers against Companies House can save tens of thousands, and Alistair Bacon showcasing shutters that deliver privacy, comfort and insect‑free summers.

Stewart Dunne showed how AI is saving the day when it comes to drafting speeches from handwritten notes, John Farthing reminded us there’s no building job too small, inside or out, and Louise Gisbey shared updates on the Life Centre partnership, Lunch & Learn (19th @ 12:30) and her epic Five by Five Challenge.

We also heard from Kevin Ayling on cyber and the 2027 phone switch‑off, Jeremy Garrard on clarity over chaos, Caroline Daniel 🪩 on avoiding £20k HR mistakes, Jamie Boxall CeMAP on mortgage challenges ahead, and Joshua Farrow DipPFS on helping clients navigate the financial waters of a divorce.

Another cracking week at BNI Chi as we continue life as a fully‑fledged chapter – with Captain Tim Fifield calmly steering the good ship referral marketing. ⚓☕

We welcomed Alistair Bacon to the chapter, proving that awnings really are his passion – three ranges, all budgets, plus repairs and refurbishments. He’s officially on board, so let’s get those intros flowing.

Stewart Dunne reminded us why first impressions matter – from call answering to quote follow‑ups. eDivert – don’t wing it!!

Jonathan Rowden had us dreaming of sunshine, helping anyone travelling in May unlock up to 60% off holidays. Sun, savings, and smiles.
