A real highlight of the this morning at the BNI Spirit of Business 27th Birthday Celebration was hearing from Alan Smith, one of the chapter's founding members.

Alan shared his memories of those early days 27 years ago, reflecting on the vision, commitment, and determination of the core group that established what would become one of the most successful and enduring BNI chapters. His personal account provided a fascinating insight into how the chapter was built and the relationships that have helped it thrive over nearly three decades.

It was inspiring to hear firsthand how far BNI Spirit of Business has come since its inception, while also recognising that the values of trust, collaboration, and supporting one another in business remain as important today as they were in 1999.

Thank you, Alan, for taking us on a journey through the chapter's history and for your contribution to its continued success. Here's to the next chapter of BNI Spirit of Business and many more years of helping businesses grow through referrals and relationships.
