After a busy festive period supporting patrols, inspections, welfare checks and the occasional incident, our office Elves are now ready for secure delivery back to the North Pole.

✔ Elves packaged for transport (voluntarily..... honest)

🚨💻 WELFARE CHECK 💻🚨

During routine office security checks, our team identified an Elf asleep on a keyboard, despite a clearly displayed notice on the screen stating:

📝 “HR Reminder: No napping at desks.”

While the Elf blamed long hours and overnight patrol fatigue, our officers confirmed that:
✔ Staff welfare procedures remain in place
✔ Workstations were secure
✔ No sensitive systems were compromised

At Red Watch Security, we recognise that effective security relies on alert, supported, and well-rested teams — not elves pushing their limits during the festive period.

🚨🥋 POST-WEEKEND PATROL UPDATE 🥋🚨

Following a particularly busy weekend on patrol, our Elf has returned fully kitted out in a karate uniform complete with a black belt, proudly announcing his new role as Director of Conflict Management.

While no martial arts intervention was required, our teams confirmed that:
✔ Situations were managed professionally and proportionately
✔ De-escalation techniques were prioritised
✔ Conflict was resolved without escalation

Right before Christmas, Bristol City welcome Middlesbrough to Ashton Gate.

🚨🖨️ EQUIPMENT FAULT – CAUSE IDENTIFIED 🖨️🚨

Following reports of repeated printer issues, our team carried out routine checks and identified the root cause…

An unauthorised Elf was discovered jammed inside the printer, accompanied by a note stating:
“Printer jammed — it was me.”

After further discussion, the Elf advised that the printer was “just identifying as Bob Marley”… because it kept jamming.

✔ No damage to equipment
✔ Data security unaffected
✔ Elf removed from restricted machinery

During routine office security checks, our team discovered an unauthorised Elf hanging from a door handle.

While the Elf appeared confident in their grip strength, our officers confirmed that:
✔ Doors remained secure
✔ Access control systems were functioning correctly
✔ No breach of office security occurred

The Elf has since been reminded that tailgating and unauthorised access are not permitted, even during the festive season.

🚨🧯 ROUTINE ELF AND SAFETY CHECK – ELF INTERVENTION NOTED 🧯🚨

During a scheduled security patrol, our team identified an unauthorised Elf taking up a vantage point on top of a water fire extinguisher.

While the Elf was clearly enjoying the elevated view, our officers were quick to confirm that:
✔ Fire safety equipment remained clearly visible and accessible
✔ No obstruction to emergency response procedures
✔ Site safety standards were fully maintained

The Elf has since been advised that fire points are for emergencies only, not festive supervision duties.

🚨 INCIDENT LOG – 16:01 HOURS 🚨

One small Elf discovered stuck in the water dispenser cup holder during routine patrols.

🔎 Suspected cause:
• Unauthorised access
• Poor risk assessment
• Severe lack of situational awareness

👮♂️ Action taken:
• Area secured
• Elf detained
• Hydration privileges suspended

No further threat to site security. Normal operations resumed.

🎅❄️ Reminder: Always challenge suspicious elves.

Day Nine: We walked into the office this morning to find our elves sitting in a circle… surrounded by AA batteries.

They proudly told us they’d “joined an AA meeting.”
Not quite the intervention we expected — but points for effort.

While the elves can laugh it off, we understand that for many people, the festive season can be a challenging time when it comes to alcohol and substance misuse.

At Red Watch Security Ltd, we take this seriously.
Our Alcohol & Substance Misuse Policy exists to protect our staff, support those who may be struggling, and make sure everyone is safe, healthy, and never facing things alone.
