🏡 Our first completed SigenStor install - on a Passivhaus.

Passivhaus is one of the most demanding build standards in construction. The building fabric does the heavy lifting on heat retention, which means every system inside has to be specified precisely to match.

The SigenStor system is built for whole-home energy management, 3-phase, 25kW inverter capacity, and genuinely designed to maximise self-sufficiency rather than simply limit export.

This is our first SigenStor project, and we're looking forward to seeing.

A new build renewable heating project completed in Backwell 🏡

This installation included a Vaillant UK 7kW aroTHERM plus air source heat pump, paired with a 210L uniSTOR indirect plus slimline pre-plumbed unvented cylinder.

We also installed the Roth UK ClimaComfort underfloor heating system, along with Touchline SL controls, helping to deliver efficient, comfortable heating throughout the home.

A neatly designed system, built around long-term comfort and performance.

Two new electric vans have joined the Green Flare fleet ⚡

Our new KIA PV5 vans have now been sign-written by Signet Signs Limited and are ready to get out on the road.

And they’re being powered by our very own solar array.

Yesterday, our system was generating 20.1kW, charging both vans through 7kW chargers, powering the office, and still exporting 3.31kW back to the grid.

A great example of solar, EV charging and battery storage working together in real life.

Energy price cap update ⚡

Ofgem has confirmed that the energy price cap will rise by 13% from July.

For a typical household paying by Direct Debit, this means:

• Annual bill rising from £1,641 to £1,862
• Around £221 more per year
• Electricity bills rising by around 5%
• Gas bills rising by around 24%

The rise is not the same across gas and electricity.

Electricity is seeing a smaller increase than gas, partly because more renewable generation is helping reduce reliance on gas-fired electricity.

For homeowners, this is another reminder of why solar panels, battery storage and efficient electric heating can play an important role in creating a more resilient home energy system.
