To all our lovely customers!
We wanted to share a quick update on how Clevedon Domestics is now running.
As many of you know, our shop has only been open on Wednesdays for over a year. With the rise of Amazon and large retailers, footfall in store has naturally declined, and most in person visits are now for vacuum repairs.
However, we want to reassure you that we are just as busy as ever behind the scenes. We are out on the roads daily carrying out repairs and deliveries, and we are constantly on the phones booking jobs, ordering spares, and helping customers, so our service continues very much as normal.
You may have also seen that the original shop space has now been lovingly transformed into a new Pilates studio by my daughter Jasmine and her business partner Megan. We’re incredibly proud of them and so happy to see the premises remain in the family and used for generations to come.
As times change, we’ve adapted too. We are now primarily available by phone, with our shop open every Wednesday from 11am–3pm for picking up spares and dropping off small appliances (such as vacuums and microwaves)
This space is now located next door to our original shop, behind the black gate, within our workshop space and only accessible on a Wednesday. If this day for drop-offs doesn’t work for you then you can call up and we can arrange something.
We’re also hoping to launch an online booking system soon, so you’ll be able to book your own repairs easily online.
Thank you so much for sticking with us through this transition. Change is never easy, but it’s been a necessary step to keep our family business going strong.
Finally, many of our customers don’t use social media, so if you know a parent, grandparent, neighbour or friend who relies on us, we’d really appreciate you passing this message on 🙂
