On my 2nd paint stripping of these Victorian cast iron bench ends. I've so far cleaned off 3 layers of old green, black and red pain off. Looked up that the imagery in the middle is a Rose, Thistles, Daffodils and Clover.

Acquired these vintage cast iron bench sides with Scottish thistles (hardly visible). I plan to restore them and make some interesting wood slats - maybe Ash or Elm? - for a one off garden bench.
