πŸ’œ Thank you for a fantastic evening!

Our Inverclyde service was delighted to support the The Scottish Fire Brigades Heritage Trust's Charity Gala Concert at the Beacon Arts Centre earlier this month.

Our Care Assistant, Donna, attended with our service user Gillian, and we’re so pleased to hear they had a great night at the dinner and concert!

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising such a lovely local event. ✨

Well done, Jackie! πŸ’œπŸ‘

A huge congratulations to Jackie, our West of Scotland Care Assistant, who has received a recognition award for all her hard work and continued support.

Jackie consistently goes above and beyond for the people she supports, always making sure their needs are met and that they receive the best possible care at every visit.

She has built fantastic relationships with her clients and is equally valued by our office team for always being willing to help and support where she can.

A very well-deserved recognition. Thank you for everything you do, Jackie! ✨

Congratulations to our Three C’s Award winners! πŸ’

This quarter’s award recognised Care with Compassion, and our Edinburgh South Care Assistants, Lindsey and Aimee, are incredibly deserving recipients.

They consistently go above and beyond for their service users, stepping in when help is needed and approaching even the most challenging situations with compassion and care.

Recently, they agreed to step in at short notice to support an individual who urgently required care. What should have been a straightforward visit turned into three hours of support while paramedics attended, with Lindsey and Aimee staying until after 11pm to make sure the person was safe and supported. Their care and professionalism even received fantastic praise from the ambulance crew.

They also regularly step up to support emergency palliative care requests, fitting these around their existing responsibilities while continuing to provide a high standard of care to their regular service users.

Having worked together on the same run for around seven years, they are a brilliant example of what Care with Compassion looks like in practice.

A huge well done to Lindsey and Aimee, and thank you for everything you do! πŸ’œ

Recognition Spotlight for The Lothians ✨

A huge thank you to two of our fantastic colleagues for their recent contributions.

πŸ’œ Jodie (East Lothian) has been part of our team since 2019 and has shown dedication and commitment throughout her time with us. As Jodie moves into a new role, we'd like to thank her for everything she has contributed over the years and wish her every success in this exciting next chapter. While she'll be moving to a bank position with us, we're delighted she'll still be part of the team.

πŸ’œ Jianna (Midlothian) has gone above and beyond recently, stepping in to cover shifts at very short notice and always being willing to help when needed. Her support, particularly over the weekend, has been greatly appreciated and is a fantastic example of teamwork in action.

Thank you both for everything you do. πŸ‘

Well Done, Glasgow Team! πŸ’„βœ¨

We received some wonderful feedback from a service user about the support they received ahead of a very special family wedding:

"My niece got married on Saturday and, along with the wedding itself being important to me, it was also the first big social event I've had the strength to attend since my health struggles over the past two years.

I was extremely anxious and lacking self-confidence and debating whether I'd actually go. Then in came the glam squad! (Precious and Sam).

Despite time constraints, the girls got me into a dress, styled my hair, managed to get a fascinator to stay in, and calmed me down. It really meant a lot to me.

I'd also like to nominate Annette who helped pick my outfit and returned the others for me. Her gentle nature and friendly chat on her visits have really been missed during her annual leave!"

A huge well done to our Care Assistant, Precious, and Quality Officer, Sam, for helping our service user feel confident, comfortable and ready to enjoy such an important occasion. Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference, and your kindness, reassurance and support clearly meant the world.

Special recognition also goes to our Care Assistant, Annette for going above and beyond to help choose the perfect outfit and for the genuine companionship she provides. It's lovely to hear how much her visits are valued and appreciated.

Thank you all for making such a positive difference. πŸ’œ

πŸ“’ Calling all Carers πŸ“’

We'd like to remind all colleagues to book their free flu vaccination if you haven't already done so.

Frontline health and social care workers are encouraged to get the flu vaccine each year to help protect themselves, their colleagues and the people they support. The vaccine is the best way to reduce your risk of catching flu and passing it on to vulnerable individuals.

Flu can be serious for older people and those with underlying health conditions, which is why getting vaccinated plays such an important role in helping keep our communities safe throughout winter. πŸ’œβ„οΈ

A huge well done to Bhawana, one of our Edinburgh North West Care Assistants!

We recently received lovely feedback from service user, who called to say she was absolutely delighted with the support Bhawana provided and described her as a "lovely carer."

Feedback like this means so much and reflects the kindness, compassion and dedication our care teams bring to their roles every day.

Thank you, Bhawana, for making such a positive difference and for providing the high standard of care we are so proud of. πŸ’œ
