9 D A Y F O R T N I G H T

We're pleased to share that, following a successful trial period, we have now permanently introduced a 9-day fortnight working pattern for all full-time members of our team.

Supporting a positive work-life balance is important to us, and we believe that creating more time for rest, family, and personal commitments helps us maintain a happy, motivated, and productive team.

For our clients, it's business as usual. Our team will continue to work the same number of hours across the fortnight, with slightly longer working days allowing each team member to enjoy every second Friday off.

We're proud to be taking this step as part of our ongoing commitment to employee wellbeing.

C L I E N T S P O T L I G H T

We have worked for many years with the team at South Islay Development and with the recent official opening of the new Port Ellen Playing Fields Pavilion it gives us a good opportunity to shine a light on the work they do.

South Islay Development (SID) work hard to provide suitable facilities, services and activities to cope with the challenges and opportunities the South Islay community will face in future years. Since forming in 2011, SID puts creativity and entrepreneurial spirit at the heart of its work in the community and empowers people by developing skills and supporting projects that create local opportunities, employment and community spirit.

We are delighted to add that we have another project underway with SID and this will be the first purpose-built children’s nursery on the island.

We are so pleased to continue our work with such a community minded and proactive organisation. If you find yourself in Port Ellen, why not pop into the café at the playing fields and enjoy the view!

N E W B U I L D

At Bruach we work on a variety of different project types and within the residential sector in particular, our projects range from small scale domestic alteration projects, to larger scale new build housing developments.

We greatly enjoy working on both existing buildings, where we can breathe new life into an older property, and also new build which gives us an opportunity to come up with something completely new!

Here is an example of an artistic impression of a new build development that we can prepare for a Planning Application to assist with the planning process.

We’re delighted to welcome our newest team member, Aden Paterson, to Bruach.

Joining us as a Senior Architect, Aden brings extensive experience in the residential sector, having worked on a wide range of large-scale developments, including both new-build and refurbishment projects.

Aden’s expertise and enthusiasm will be a fantastic addition to our practice, further strengthening our team and enhancing the service we provide to our clients as we continue to deliver projects across Scotland.

We don’t know about you but Team Bruach are absolutely loving this beautiful sunny weather!

We are sure that these clients, as well as many others, are enjoying keeping their sliding doors wide open and embracing the sunshine this week!
