We have been busy making manifolds recently, they are a lengthy build process but make a great product. The manufacture uses bladder moulding, prepreg carbon fibre, Cnc machining, bonding, and pressure testing. All of which we undertake in house creating repeatable quality parts.

Assembly is as important as the part manufacture itself. If parts are not accurately located when bonding, then errors can become exponential through the building up of the system.
We use precision machined jigs every step of the way for multi component assemblies, guaranteeing accuracy and repeatability.

We have had a busy few months since the launch of our new heated platten press.
So what is a platen press and why is it needed?
It allows processing of composite materials in an ultra efficient, clean and repeatable way. Allowing complex parts to be produced, without lots of processes.
Think of cast aluminium parts. We can now replicate aluminium with the enhanced properties of carbon fibre, without lots of expensive equipment requirement.

The Cool Cure 175 DUO is a complete composite part processing and curing system designed for high precision advanced composite parts to be produced using Compression and bladder moulding. Available also is the Plus model, which allows EPPS (external pressure processing System) for SMC and BMC materials and coming soon- a Mini autoclave add on.

The system has been designed with practicality and portability in mind. It utilises advanced power management to allow the unit to be used with a standard 240v 13A mains supply, yet archive tooling temperatures of up to 175 deg c. The system also offers rapid cooling of the tool, useful to lower temperature back to suitable temperature for the next part to be laid up and to aid in safe handling.
