Smoke billowing from two major fires in a Leicestershire town can be seen for miles this morning (Friday, November 21).

Full details on the fires is yet to be established, but it has been confirmed that emergency services are responding to two separate blazes in the North West Leicestershire town.

A road closure is currently in place in the Smisby Road area of Ashby.

Both Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and Leicestershire Police are responding to the incidents.

Leicestershire Live has contacted both the fire service and the police for more information about the fires and will provide you with the details as soon as we get them.

We have a reporter on the way to the scene.
