Part Two of ‘Carrying Scout up Wainwrights’ is available to watch on YouTube now - link in bio (don’t worry it’s only 3 minutes long 😄).

Last week we had the most perfect hike up to Fleetwith Pike, taking in Grey Knotts (where we wild camped), and Brandreth en route.

The little wild camp spot we stumbled upon (literally! Very tired legs by that point - Scout’s getting heavy!) even had its own little rocky kitchenette out of the wind - boujee!!!

Episode 2: Greyknotts, Brandreth and Fleetwith Pike.

After a steep and sweaty carry up from Gatesgarth Car Park, we made camp just below the summit of Grey Knotts in time for some supper and a cup of Hygge&Wyld WyLDbrew coffee 😉

After a cosy night sharing my sleeping bag with Scout, we packed up, savoured a coffee in the waking sun and bounced up three more Wainwrights. Perrrrfick!

I realised today that I’ve been wildcamping since 1994, and Wildbrewing since 2020.. but it was Scout’s first mountain wildcamp .. and he took to it like a literal duck to water.. (aside from the water bit, as he’s scared of puddles 🙄😄).

Scout is in charge of order packing, so you may just need to wait for him to wake up from his nap before they’re sent 🙄
