A first for SRC Group at Wembley.

Our EPD-certified recycled aggregates are now being transported out of our Wembley site by rail, creating another route for moving bulk recycled materials beyond the London market.

Our recycled aggregates have 0.00 kg CO₂e per tonne at the point of production. With rail producing up to 80% lower CO₂ emissions than HGV transport, combining the two helps reduce the carbon impact from production through to delivery.

It’s another step in our circular economy - recovering construction waste, turning it into high-quality recycled aggregate and reducing the impact of getting that material back to market.

Our recycled aggregates, sands, sub-base, clay, topsoil and subsoil have now achieved Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification.

The certification provides independently verified environmental data on the performance of our recycled materials and confirms 0.00 kg CO₂e per tonne at the point of production.

This data can support carbon and embodied-impact calculations, sustainability reporting and sustainable procurement, giving customers a clearer understanding of the environmental performance of the materials they specify and use.

A significant milestone for SRC Group and one we’re very proud of.

A familiar feature of Mistley Maltings for 50 years.

Commissioned in 1976, the site’s 35m-high steel chimney was recently demolished by SRC Group as part of our ongoing works at Mistley Maltings.

The felling methodology was developed in-house, with careful hot cutting used to create a controlled hinge before our 28m high-reach excavator provided the final assistance needed to bring the chimney down safely within the designated exclusion zone.

A carefully planned and controlled operation from start to finish.

A very proud night for SRC Group at the British Demolition Awards!

We came away with Environmental Achievement of the Year as well as Highly Commended in the Demolition Project Under £1 Million.

Our annual Family Fun Day returned to Crown Quarry on Saturday, and it was a fantastic afternoon! ☀️
