Maldon Regatta returns this Saturday! ⛵🌊

If you're visiting us this weekend, why not take a stroll over to Hythe Quay and enjoy the annual Maldon Regatta? ⛵🔎

Taking place from 12pm to 4.30pm on Saturday, the event celebrates Maldon's rich maritime heritage and promises plenty to see both on and off the water. 🚤✨

Watch a variety of sailing and rowing activities on the River Blackwater, admire traditional vessels along the quayside, and soak up the atmosphere as crews take part in races and displays. On shore, visitors can enjoy stalls, refreshments, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to learn more about Maldon's fascinating connection with the sea. ⚓🚣‍♀️

Please be aware that the park and the surrounding area is likely to be busier than usual during the event, so allow extra time for your journey and parking and consider using public transport. The park is served by bus routes 331, 332, 333, 375 and 288.🚶‍♀️🚌

We hope everyone has a fantastic day celebrating one of Maldon's longest-running traditions and enjoying our beautiful waterfront. ☀️🌊

People are loving it... with more than 11,000 visitors already having seen John Constable’s The Hay Wain since it came home to Suffolk. 🎨

There's still time to catch it at Ipswich's Christchurch Mansion... and if you been, what do you think makes the painting so special? 🖼️✨
