We recently supported Pathfinder Clean Energy (PACE) Limited with the unloading and positioning of 12 inverters and six transformers across two Norfolk solar projects: Three Bridges Solar Farm and Attleborough Road Solar Farm.

With individual units weighing up to 22.5 tonnes, the work was delivered over approximately two months. Deliveries arrived in stages, including transformers from overseas, so each visit was planned around the delivery programme and site readiness.

The two 25 MWp projects have more than 70,000 solar panels between them. With all 18 units in position, work has continued towards planned energisation later in 2026.

Alongside our crane fleet, we operate specialist remote-controlled grab systems for projects where conventional plant or manual access isn't practical.

Used for tank clearance, dredging and industrial maintenance, the grabs allow sludge, silt, grit and other accumulated materials to be removed from difficult-to-access environments without the need for confined space entry or draining critical infrastructure.

We have two sizes available depending on the application.
Our 0.5m³ grab is designed for tighter spaces and controlled material removal, with the capability to move around 100m³ per day.

For larger-scale projects, our 4m³ grab can move around 800m³ per day, providing the capacity required for high-volume clearance and dredging operations.

Both can be operated from our mobile crane fleet at distances of over 100 metres, giving us a specialist capability for projects across water and wastewater, energy, ports and industrial environments.

The B Corp movement is changing the way businesses think about success.

Led by the global non-profit B Lab, Certified B Corporationsā„¢ are part of a growing community of businesses that have been independently verified against high standards of social, environmental and governance performance.

The wider ambition is to help build a more inclusive, equitable and responsible economy, where businesses are measured not only by their financial performance, but by the impact they have on their people, customers, communities and the environment.

It's a philosophy that's changing the way thousands of businesses operate, and one that's backed up by one of the most rigorous certification processes in the world.

We're proud to be part of a global movement that's helping raise expectations of what responsible business looks like, and to continue setting high standards within our own industry.

B Corp Certification has a reputation for being one of the most rigorous business certifications in the world.

That's because it looks at far more than environmental performance. Every part of the business comes under scrutiny, from governance and accountability to employee wellbeing, community impact, customer relationships and sustainability.

It's a challenging process, but that's exactly what makes it valuable.

As we worked through the assessment, it became clear that many of the things B Corp measures were already embedded in the way Cadman Cranes operates. Years of investing in our people, transitioning our entire mobile crane fleet to HVO fuel, achieving carbon neutrality for our Scope 1 and 2 emissions, strengthening our governance and continually looking for better ways of working all contributed to the final result.

The certification hasn't changed who we are as a business. It has validated the direction we've been taking and given us a framework to keep improving.

That's why B Corp sits so naturally alongside our long-term vision for the business. It's another way of holding ourselves accountable, raising standards and making sure we're building a business that delivers for our customers, our people and our communities over the long term.

We're proud of what we've achieved, but we know the work doesn't stop here.

We've shared more about what it means for our business and how it supports our commitment to Leading Sustainable Lifting on our website: https://www.cadmancranes.com/news/cadman-cranes-becomes-a-certified-b-corporation/

We're proud to announce that Cadman Cranes is now a Certified B Corporationā„¢ (B Corpā„¢).

Verified by B Lab, the not-for-profit organisation behind the B Corp movement, the certification recognises that we've met rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. More importantly, it reflects a legally binding commitment to consider the impact of every business decision on our people, communities, customers and the planet, alongside delivering long-term value for shareholders.

At Cadman Cranes, B Corp Certification reinforces our position as a leader in sustainable lifting and reflects the way we choose to run our business, continually improving how we support our people, reduce our environmental impact, strengthen our governance and contribute to the communities we work in.

While the B Corp movement continues to grow, certification remains relatively rare across construction, plant hire and heavy industry. We're proud to be part of a growing community of businesses proving that responsible business and operational excellence can go hand in hand.

This certification is an important milestone, but it is not the end of the journey. We'll continue working with our customers, partners and suppliers to deliver safe, sustainable and responsible lifting solutions while continually improving the way we operate.

Over the past few years, we've seen the conversation around sustainability in construction change significantly.

What started as a focus on reducing operational emissions is becoming a much broader discussion about the role every business plays in creating a more sustainable supply chain.

For companies like ours, that means looking beyond individual initiatives and asking bigger questions. How can we reduce our impact? Where can we improve? And what responsibilities do we have to the customers, communities and industry we serve?

We've been asking ourselves those questions for some time. From transitioning our mobile crane fleet to HVO in 2021 to continually reviewing how we operate, we've learned that meaningful progress doesn't come from one big change. It comes from making better decisions, consistently, over time.

The lifting industry still has work to do, and so do we. But that's what progress looks like.
We're looking forward to sharing more about what we've been working on in the weeks ahead.

Successful projects rely on more than the right equipment. They rely on strong partnerships, trusted suppliers and businesses working together.

That's one of the reasons we're proud to be members of the Essex Chambers of Commerce. It keeps us connected with businesses from across the county, providing opportunities to share knowledge, strengthen relationships and support the wider Essex business community.

Our work takes us across a wide range of sectors, so staying engaged with local businesses is an important part of how we continue to grow and support our customers.

Armed Forces Week is an opportunity to recognise the dedication, service and sacrifice of the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community.

This is something that resonates strongly with us. We are proud to have former service personnel within our team, bringing with them valuable skills, experience and a commitment to professionalism that continues to make a positive impact across our business.

We are also proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and hold the Gold Award through the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. This reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting veterans, reservists, service leavers and military families, while creating opportunities for them to build successful civilian careers.

The values developed through military service, including teamwork, accountability, discipline and leadership, align closely with the standards we uphold every day across our operations.

During Armed Forces Week, we would like to thank all serving personnel, veterans, reservists and military families for their contribution to our country and our communities.
