Now that are back and rested after our Easter Break. We shift from family priorities to that of a more technical nature!
This week we worked with a customer running a large hostel in a remote location in Hertfordshire where fast or ultrafast internet simply isn’t available. With limited bandwidth coming into the building, they were struggling to balance critical business services — office systems, cloud access, and Teams calls — alongside guest internet access, which is an essential service for visitors staying on-site.
Rather than accepting poor performance as unavoidable, we redesigned how their connection was being used.
By implementing multiple networks and carefully configuring traffic shaping and prioritisation on their platform, we were able to ensure business-critical applications always receive the bandwidth they need, while still providing reliable internet access for guests.
The result?
✔ Stable calls
✔ Reliable office services
✔ Happy guests
✔ A network working at 100%
A great example of how smart design and the right configuration can make limited connectivity go a long way.
Great job by everyone involved — another problem solved.
