They have launched an LOA consortium with four major providers:

โžก๏ธ Legal & General
โžก๏ธ Royal London
โžก๏ธ Scottish Widows

The aim is for the providers to work together to help establish best practice around LOA processes and support greater digitisation across the industry. Something that has been needed for a long time.

This feels like a really positive step forward for adviser efficiency and consistency.

Aviva, Legal & General, Royal London and Scottish Widows have joined forces with fintech Origo to transform and remove โ€œpain pointsโ€ in the letter of authority (LoA) process.

Sunday is International Womenโ€™s Day, and it feels particularly relevant for us at Intuitive Support.

Our team is made up largely of women โ€” talented, experienced professionals who quietly keep a huge number of financial advice firms running smoothly behind the scenes every day.

They manage platforms, chase providers, untangle paperwork, keep advisers organised, and somehow still remain calm when faced with things like missing policy numbers, impossible provider phone queues, or โ€œjust a quick jobโ€ that turns into a three-hour investigation.

If you work in financial services administration, youโ€™ll know exactly what I mean.

What makes me proudest is the experience, professionalism and generosity within the team. The support they give not only to our clients, but to each other, is something quite special.

Twice a year, we carry out a full audit of our LOA Submission Guide.

And when I say full audit โ€” I really mean it.

Every single entry is reviewed individually. Not just contact details, but:
โœ”๏ธ Current LOA submission requirements
โœ”๏ธ Email and postal addresses
โœ”๏ธ Web links to provider pages
โœ”๏ธ Plan number formats (by plan type)
โœ”๏ธ Internal team contact details where applicable

We donโ€™t rely on old data.
We donโ€™t assume last yearโ€™s information is still correct.
We reach out to every provider directly.

Often, we receive conflicting or partial information โ€” which means going back, asking further questions, clarifying processes, and making sure what we display is accurate and usable for advice firms.

And importantly, we retain evidence for all information shown in the Guide.
Itโ€™s a huge piece of work.

So far this cycle, weโ€™ve reviewed 93 entries, with 152 still to go.

And why does it matter?

Because nearly 2,500 people have used the Guide so far this month alone.

If advice firms are relying on our Guide to submit Letters of Authority correctly, then it has to be right.

This is one of those pieces of work that isnโ€™t always visible โ€” but itโ€™s absolutely core to what we do.
Consistency.
Accuracy.
Industry knowledge.
