What an incredible day at the Digital Cheshire Business Conference yesterday!

A huge congratulations to Jessica Peake, Adrian Whitehurst, Amy Carter, and the entire Digital Cheshire team for organising and delivering such a fantastic event. It was a brilliant opportunity to connect with local businesses, share insights, and hear from inspiring speakers.

Thank you also to The Space Congleton for being such an excellent host and providing a great venue for the day.

This morning’s Thursday Thirty Networking Event was both inspiring and incredibly insightful.

We were delighted to be hosted by North West Air Ambulance Charity at The Space Congleton, where we heard from Volunteer Adrian Steinkamp and Senior Fundraiser Danny Daynes. Their powerful presentation gave us a glimpse into the vital work carried out by the Air Ambulance crew each and every day.

Hearing first hand how donations directly support this life-saving service was truly impactful and highlighted just how important community support is in helping them continue their incredible work.

We are proud to support a wide range of amazing charities through our events, and mornings like this are a reminder of the difference that fundraising, awareness, and community connections can make.

A huge thank you to Adrian and Danny for sharing their time and experiences with us.

At the end of April, we were pleased to host a post-economic update event with Chamber members, Handelsbanken.

We heard from Senior Economist Daniel Mahoney and FX & Interest Rates Specialist Thomas Barker, who shared their expert perspectives on key themes including growth trends, inflation, interest rates, and the economic outlook for the months ahead.

It was fantastic to see so many attendees join us for such an insightful morning, with plenty of thought-provoking questions and discussion throughout.

A big thank you to the team at Handelsbanken Wilmslow for their continued support of the Chamber and their fellow Chamber members in delivering such a valuable event.

The East Cheshire Chamber Annual Golf Day is back on Wednesday 17th June at the stunning Vale Royal Abbey, and bookings are officially open!

Another delightful morning at our ever-popular Thursday Thirty networking event yesterday!

A big thank you to DPC Accountants Limited for hosting our April session - it was fantastic to see the room full of energy and great conversations throughout.

We heard from Esther Hancock from DPC Accountants, who delivered an insightful presentation on the latest developments in UK tax and the opportunities they present for businesses.

We are now looking ahead to our May Thursday Thirty, where our new Charity of the Year, North West Air Ambulance Charity will be hosting.

Join us on Wednesday 29th April 2026 at The Space Congleton for an Economic Update with guest speakers from Handelsbanken’s Economics team.

The morning will offer valuable insight into the current economic environment and what it could mean for businesses and investors. The morning will begin with registration and a light breakfast at 8.30am, and the opportunity to network with fellow attendees ahead of the session.

From 9:15am, Senior Economist Daniel M. and FX & Interest Rates Specialist Thomas Barker will share their perspectives, covering key themes such as growth trends, inflation and interest rates, along with the outlook for the months ahead.

A Q&A session at 10:00am will provide an opportunity to engage directly with the speakers and explore the topics most relevant to you. The event will conclude at 11:00am, with another opportunity to network further.

This morning, East Cheshire Chamber, alongside SAS Daniels LLP, hosted a fantastic event at The Space Congleton.

We heard from Anna Sharp and Jodie Sumner, who shared valuable perspectives on the realities of managing debt, the challenges of chasing payments, and how quickly situations can escalate.

A big thank you to the team at SAS Daniels for delivering such an informative and thought-provoking session. The presentation highlighted how even the smallest details can have a significant impact, both personally and in business and reinforced the importance of carrying out thorough due diligence to avoid potential risks.

Special thanks to Hannah Shaw for organising such a valuable and well-executed event and to Krista Tagell at The Space for putting on a lovely breakfast spread.
