We’re pleased to introduce the SPEAR UK Apprentice Scheme, launched in early November 2024. The positions were filled by Adam Lee Williams and Tracy Anne Thomas, both of whom entered the program with no prior experience in the dairy industry. Adam and Tracy have built their knowledge from the ground up. As part of the scheme, they are supported by a learning tutor from Coleg Menai and are currently studying towards a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration.

Accessibility-
We’ve aimed to make the building accessible to anyone, installing a gradual ramp up to our ground floor. Additionally, a lift has been installed meaning the 1st floor is also accessible to wheelchair users and those who struggle with stairs. This aims to make the building more inclusive for the wider community and potential clients.

Joan has 21 years’ experience working in the food industry in key roles within sales and administration.
Since joining SPEAR she has trained in Food Safety Culture, Internal Audits, Allergen Awareness, TACCP/VACCP and HACCP Level 3.
She is our Quality Systems Lead and supports our business’ trading administration.
Joan is a fitness, wild water swimming, and prosecco enthusiast, especially at weekends.

What a difference a little TLC makes! Not only did we purchase new doors, paint them and the exterior walls, but we also installed a gradual ramp to the left of the stairs as you walk in, to ensure the building is accessible for all!
