On , we're reminded that protecting our oceans starts with the choices we make every day, including how we clean, maintain, and manage the environments around us.

Across our contracts, we're working with clients to reduce waste, conserve resources, and make more sustainable choices:

💧 The InAqua water recycling system at The Leadenhall Building saves approximately 16,000 litres of water every year, equivalent to more than 2,500 toilet flushes.

🌱 92% of the cleaning consumables and chemicals used across our national cleaning operations are classified as sustainable products.

🚚 Through our supply chain partners, we're helping reduce emissions too, with HVO-powered deliveries capable of cutting CO₂ emissions by up to 85-90% compared with conventional diesel vehicles.

While no single action will solve the challenge alone, collective action can make a meaningful difference.

This World Oceans Day, we're proud to work alongside our clients, colleagues, and suppliers to create cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environments for future generations.

🌍 Happy World Environment Day!

At Samsic UK, taking care of the spaces we work in goes hand in hand with taking care of the world around us.

Sustainability isn't a badge for us, it's a responsibility. We're working toward carbon neutrality through investment in high-quality verified carbon offset projects, and we're pleased to share that we're moving to 100% renewable electricity across all our UK offices this June.

Being honest about where we are on that journey matters just as much as the steps we're taking. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and so are the UK communities they work and live in.

There's still work ahead and we're committed to doing it properly. 💚

Last week, we brought together teams, clients, and partners for our River Clean Up at Hammersmith Bridge, and what a day it was.

In just 2.5 hours, we removed 225kg of waste from the Thames riverbank, a real, visible impact made possible by people coming together with a shared purpose.

This was a true collaborative effort, with participation from Samsic UK, JPC by Samsic, and Sellick Partnership, alongside our valued clients. More than just an environmental initiative, it was a brilliant opportunity to connect, step away from the day-to-day, and work side by side for something that matters.

A huge thank you to River Cleanup for organising and leading the event so seamlessly, and for the incredible work they do globally to protect our rivers and communities.

We wrapped up the day at Fulham Reach Boat Club/The Blue Boat, continuing conversations, strengthening relationships, and celebrating what we achieved together.

We’re proud to share that our IT Department has recently donated a number of laptops and mobile devices to St Aidan’s Church Charity in Leeds, helping support the local community.

Our IT team regularly donates working equipment to schools and charities, helping extend the life of technology while supporting those in need, and reflecting our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

A special thank you to Tony Rana (Head of Technology) and Hesam Jamaatirad (Senior IT Service Analyst) for coordinating this donation and ensuring its successful delivery.

Today, 22nd April, is Earth Day!

We're joining a global movement focused on protecting the environment and building a more sustainable future. Across the world today, thousands of initiatives are taking place to reduce waste and tackle climate challenges.

We’re very proud to contribute with our own event, a team clean up along the banks of the River Thames. This clean‑up is part of a wider initiative across all 27 countries that we operate in, with teams working hands‑on to protect the communities and natural spaces we live and work in.

Supporting our local environment has always been core to who we are, and this is a great chance to put our values into action together and reflect our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

How often your office is cleaned should depend on how your space is used.

Regular cleaning keeps your workplace looking, feeling, and smelling fresh, with surfaces wiped, floors cleaned, bins emptied, and kitchens and bathrooms sanitised. Deep cleaning goes further, tackling hidden and hard-to-reach areas like vents, light fixtures, carpets, and upholstery to remove built-up dust and bacteria.

As a guide, office spaces should be cleaned at least weekly (more often in busy areas), while kitchens and bathrooms should be cleaned and sanitised daily, especially during periods of illness.
