Not sure what size skip you need? Here's the whole range at a glance.

Getting the size right first time saves you money and hassle. Too small and you're paying for a second skip. Too big and you're paying for space you don't use. So we've laid the lot out for you, with a rough bag count for each, to help you land on the right one.

Our chain lift skips run from the handy 4-yard, ideal for a small bathroom or garden clear-out at around 40 bags, all the way up to the mighty 16-yard at 170 plus bags for the bigger domestic and light commercial jobs.

Need serious capacity? Our roll-on/roll-off skips take it further. The 20 yard swallows 220 plus bags, and the 40 yard handles a huge 440 plus bags, built for construction, manufacturing and big site clearances. Just remember, roll-on/roll-off needs 12ft of access for the lorry.

Ever wondered where your skip actually goes after we drive off with it? This is it.

Once your skip leaves the driveway, it comes back to our yard and gets tipped out, exactly like this. That's where the real work starts. Every load is spread out, sorted and separated into its different streams: wood one way, metal another, hardcore, glass, green waste and the rest each on their own path.

It's dusty, it's heavy going, and it's the part of the job nobody sees. But it's the bit that matters most, because it's where your waste stops being rubbish and starts being recycled.

This is why we're so particular about how skips are loaded. The cleaner and better separated a load arrives, the more of it we can recover and keep out of landfill. Your effort at your end makes a real difference at ours.

Enjoy the bank holiday, Coventry. We're taking the day off too.

Our yard and phone lines are closed today for the August bank holiday, and we'll be back open as normal on Tuesday 1 September.

Any collections or deliveries around the long weekend will be picked up as soon as we're back, so there's no need to worry if you're waiting on us.

Skip full? You're three steps from it being gone. And you can do it all by text.

We've made arranging your collection as simple as sending a message. No phone queue, no hanging around. Just text and we'll take it from there.

Here's how it works. Text COLLECT followed by your ticket number or postcode to 07951 548457. Your ticket number is on your delivery ticket. We'll send you a confirmation, then your skip gets collected. That's it, three steps, done.

It's the easy way to book a collection whenever it suits you, day or night, without picking up the phone. Prefer to call or book online? You can still do that too, whatever works best for you.

One quick reminder before we come. Keep your skip level loaded with nothing above the fill line, so our driver can collect it safely and legally first time.

Window fitters and glaziers, this one's for you. Where's your old glass actually going?

If you're replacing units day in, day out, waste glass adds up fast. Old sealed units, panes and frames pulled off job after job. Too often that lot ends up in a general skip, and that's where it costs you.

Here's the problem. Glass mixed into a general load contaminates everything around it, cardboard, paper, the lot. It's a hazard to handlers and machinery, and it drives up processing costs. Tip a serious volume of glass into a mixed skip and the whole load can be rejected or dropped to general waste, which means a bigger bill for you and a worse result all round.

The fix is simple. Keep your window glass separate and bring it to us. We recycle window glass specifically, so instead of paying general waste rates on a contaminated skip, your glass goes down the right route and gets properly recycled.

Spot the mistakes. This one skip has four, and every one of them means it isn't going anywhere.

We put this together as a bit of fun, but it's a proper lesson in how not to load a skip. See if you can match each red X before you read on.

1 - Overfilled, way above the rails. Waste piled above the fill line can't be legally moved, and our drivers won't collect it. See where it says "level load only" on the side? That's not a suggestion.
2- Wood sticking out the top. Those upright boards are part of the overloading problem, and loose items like this can shift or fall in transit, which makes the whole load unsafe to lift.
3 - The tyre. Tyres can't just be slung in a skip. They have to be declared and paid for separately, because they're handled through their own recycling route. This one wasn't declared, so it's a no-go.
4 -The bag dumped outside the skip. Anything outside the skip isn't part of the hire, and sat there it's blocking access too. We do offer skip bag collections, but it has to be booked and paid for. Nothing was arranged here, so it just gets left behind, and it makes the skip harder to reach in the first place.

The fix for all four is the same. Keep it level, declare anything special like tyres, and book collection for any extra bags. Do that, and your skip goes on the first visit, no delays, no wasted trips.

With Warwickshire's recycling centres having paused fridge and freezer drop-offs, part of a national capacity issue, a lot of people are stuck with an appliance they can't move. The simplest answer is to use a man and van service to take it off your hands.

And if you run a man and van or house clearance business yourself, this is where we come in. Bring your fridges and freezers to us and we'll take them off you, so you've always got somewhere to offload at the end of a job while the tips are shut to them.

Did you know? Any fridges and freezers that can be refurbished are refurbished, then shipped to Africa to be given a genuine second life through a third-party vendor we work with. So where possible, that old appliance isn't scrapped at all, it goes on to be used again by someone who needs it.

Fridges and freezers can't go in a skip, the gases and components inside mean they need handling separately, which is exactly why this route exists. And because we're a fully licensed waste carrier, everything is handled properly and legally, with no fly-tipping risk and no comeback on you.

It's easy to toss a flat-packed box in a skip and forget about it, but for us that's where the real work starts. Whether it arrives in one of our skips or gets dropped off as part of a regular delivery to our waste transfer centre, all the cardboard that comes on site is sorted, then compacted and baled into tight blocks like these, ready to be sent on for recycling and turned into new material.

Those neat stacks might not look like much, but they're a mountain of boxes that didn't go to landfill. It's one of the most recyclable materials we handle, and one of the most satisfying to see leave the yard by the tonne.

This is the part most people never see. However your waste reaches us, it doesn't just disappear; it gets separated, processed and put back into use wherever it can be. Cardboard is a perfect example of the whole idea in action.
