An excellent opportunity has arisen with my Client based in West Bromwich who are seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with CNC and PLC experience. My Client manufactures parts for the Automotive sector and in this role you will maintain machinery and equipment within a Factory, Paint Shop, Forge and Machine Shop environment. This position will initially be employed on standard days Monday to Friday however this may change to a rotating shift in the near future
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all equipment is running to optimal requirement.
- Support Operations with any breakdowns to ensure customer quality and volume expectations are achieved.
- Provide technical support to both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines
- Ensure each mechanical and electrical stage of the process operates under optimum application conditions
- Adherence to maintenance control plan
- Be able to support other maintenance personnel when required.
- Facilitate both Forge, Machine shop & paint line condition monitoring, analysis and action feedback
- Maintain weekly/monthly and quarterly operating metrics (paint line uptime and PM activity)
PERSON PROFILE:
Must Have
- Minimum 5 years experience in similar role
- Understand Automotive demands and pressures.
- Professional qualifications preferred in both Electrical and Mechanical
- Experience in maintaining CNC machinery would be highly desirable.
- Understanding of automation control systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship
- Minimum HNC or equivalent
- Experience working with Hydraulic, Pneumatics, PLC’s, and CNC controllers, specifically Fanuc, and Mazatrol.
- Computer literate
- Able to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision
- Training in Health and Safety, C.O.S.H.H. desirable
