It was great to get out on the field tonight at Margam as the Wales 35’s took on the Wales 45’s in another excellent hit out as part of our continued preparations together.

The 35’s started a little slowly, but what was really pleasing was how much the group grew into the game every time we stepped onto the pitch. After the opening 10 minutes, composure really settled in, communication improved throughout, and the squad began to play with real confidence driving hard, moving fast, and working brilliantly together as a team.

It was fantastic to see some excellent attacking rugby, with superb tries from Bradford, Meiz x2, Miggy, Oz and Liam, all coming from some strong passages of play and good team connection. The team also crossed the line on another four occasions with close calls of a touch with Geraint H, Miggy, Mouse and one try Chalked off at the death for a forward pass from Meiz to the Bullet.

A really positive part of the evening after the first quarter was our defence, being able to trial some new transition moves and put into practice some of the things we’ve been working on in training. The group responded well, and there was some really good rugby played across the game. We've got a lot to work on still but things are certainly moving in the right direction.

Really proud of the squad tonight plenty of positives to take forward playing against a seasoned 45's team and shutting them out for the second half of the game another strong step in our development together. Well done boys 👏🏉

Thanks to the 45's for hosting us and we look forward to playing you again after Nationals!

Huge thanks to our amazing Sponsors!

⭐ Sponsor Announcement ⭐

Professional sprinkler systems are proud to support the Wales Touch Team +35s as they prepare for the upcoming European Championships in Vichy, France. As a company founded on quality, safety, and service, we strongly believe in backing organisations that demonstrate dedication, teamwork, and excellence, values that closely align with our own. Supporting Welsh sport at an international level reflects our commitment not only to our industry, but also to our community and national pride, and we are delighted to play a small part in the team’s journey.

Touch rugby remains an amateur sport, with players representing their country entirely at their own expense, despite the sport’s growing profile and potential future Olympic inclusion. With ambitions that extend beyond Europe to the Touch Rugby World Cup in New Zealand in 2028, the Wales Touch Team +35s rely on sponsorship to help offset travel, training, and kit costs. Professional Sprinkler Systems are proud to contribute through player and kit sponsorship, helping dedicated athletes focus on performance while representing Wales on the international stage.

Thanks very much for supporting the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 team and our players on the road to the Euros!
