| Sandbach

We have been investigating reports of burglary dwellings in the Sandbach area over the past week.

The burglaries have occurred at the following locations:

🔹️ Nov 24th - Congleton Road (near to Claymore road Junction)
🔹️ Nov 24th/25th Heron way
🔹️ Nov 26th Abbey road area (near to Middlewich road).
🔹️ Nov 26th- Crewe road (near to the Park lane junction).

The MO has been entry gained via rear patio or bi fold doors. Times vary, but majority are evening times. We are currently pursuing lines of enquiry into these incidents.

There has been no further reports since Wednesday 26th, but please remain vigilant. Report any suspicous activity on 101, or if you believe a crime is taking place or taken place please call 999.

One of our jobs this week was to install a new Videx Security Ltd GSM intercom. This allows visitors to press the button and the call can be answered from the homeowners mobile phone.
It can call up to 4 numbers.

We have recently installed a couple of the new Hikvision AI NVR's and we are impressed!
The new NVR's (recorders) enable you to search through the footage for someone wearing red, a green vehicle or a specific animal etc.
We have found the search results fairly accurate, with the exception of our Newfoundland dog being recognised as a bear!! 🤣

The early mornings are dark and the evenings drawing in. External lights are advantageous for a number of reasons, whether it be security, driveway or wall lights.

1. They can deter welcome visitors on a well lit property
2. They can be helpful to safely enter or leave your property in the early morning or at night.
3. They can be aesthetically pleasing

Lights can come on via switch, sensor or timers.

We personally would recommend LED lights due to brightness and running costs.

It is that time of year when powers cuts are more likely to occur.

Here is how to turn off the power to your intruder alarm.

* Locate your alarm panel & fuse spur.
* Remove the fuse from the spur.
* Open the alarm panel .
* Remove the red and black wires from the battery.
* Your alarm will usually ring for 20 minutes.
