👏 GCN Tipper Hire Ltd has raised its fortunes thanks to the work it has secured supporting HS2’s construction.

With help from SEMLEP's Growth Hub during the challenging Covid period, GCN Tipper Hire (who transport aggregate materials to construction sites) secured a Recovery and Resilience Grant – allowing the business to expand rapidly.

And now they’re going from strength to strength, and can deal with demands of the HS2 project.

The sheer volume of work they have been awarded by HS2’s construction partner, EKFB, has now enabled them to expand their workforce, from two staff to 10, and acquire six new state-of-the-art vehicles – all in just a year.
