🏳️🌈PRIDE MONTH....
June is Pride Month and something that I feel is super important to acknowledge and mark.
Pride matters because sadly the world seems to be taking backwards steps in acceptance and equity for the LGBTQ+ community.
As the mother of a q***r enby (non binary) child this fills me with fear and worry. My child is funny, kind, so very clever, they have an incredible imagination and a desire to understand how everything in the world works. They have so many different interests and passions and they are full of curiosity and joy. They don't want to be restricted or confined by their gender, they want to be free to be whatever they want and love whoever they want. It pains me to think that they will experience hate and prejudice just for being themselves!
Everyone deserves to be free ❣️
So marking and celebrating Pride and love on all it's forms is so important, because we need to recognise that LGBTQ+ people are exactly that, people! Just like anyone else, we all deserve respect and security!
All LGBTQ+ families are ALWAYS welcome at The Mummas Village, you will always be greeted with acceptance and kindness.
Happy Pride, here's hoping for a brighter future for our children, all of our children x
