π Sometimes a change of scenery and a little company can make such a difference.
Social outings and companionship are such an important part of what we do at Devon Helping Hands, it isnβt always about care in the home.
Our wonderful Anne has been feeling a little down recently, so today weβve done something a bit different. My boys and I are heading out to support a local memorial tractor run and, as Anne lives right along the route, it was the perfect opportunity to get her out of the house to enjoy some company, fresh air and all the tractors passing by. ππ
And of course, the Devon Helping Hands children came along too! π₯° Sometimes having youngsters around, sharing a laugh and simply being part of something happening in the community can really brighten someoneβs day.
With Anneβs permission, weβve taken a few lovely photos to share. πΈ
Do you feel lonely or isolated? Would you enjoy some company, a trip out, a coffee, a little wander around the shops or simply a change of scenery?
Or perhaps you have a parent, grandparent, neighbour or loved one who would benefit from a little extra companionship?
Devon Helping Hands can help. π
Social support doesnβt have to be complicated, sometimes itβs simply about getting out, having a chat, making memories and feeling part of the world around you again.
