Mental Health Awareness 1/2 day and Mental Health First Aid 2day courses running at Sandbach Town Hall
February, March and April - More dates will follow
We are very excited to announce that these courses will include
ambassadors, and guest speakers from the amazing Mental Health charity Mentell, who will be providing valuable insight into mental health concerns, as well as offering advice, and guidance on resources and support available.
These programs have been designed, to enable the learners to develop the skills needed to assist with mental health issues, either in the home or the workplace. Most of us will have either experienced Mental Health issues or know someone that has.
Most workplaces are also now realising the importance, of having a Mental Health strategy in place, with a growing awareness of its impact on individuals and the business.
This training in either Mental Health Awareness or First Aid for Mental Health (RQF) has been developed to allow learners to become more aware of signs and symptoms of Mental Health concerns in domestic setting's, as well as managing mental health in the workplace. This means that the participants will not only be able to provide basic mental health support or to be the first response to someone in need, but they will also get advice on how to manage their own mental health needs.
Although these courses will not allow learners to become clinically qualified to assess, diagnose or treat mental ill health, they will have an understanding of the principles of managing mental health, and learn how to use basic tools to listen to individuals who require support.
