At the heart of the room, the focal area was designed to hold the most meaningful moments of the day - a place to gather, and to be captured as the light gently moved through the space.

The setting was kept open and unforced, allowing the Alder Room’s architecture and expansive windows to lead. The surrounding grounds became a natural backdrop, while meadow-style florals in softened pastels were layered to introduce movement and warmth against the structure of the room.

With the bridal ensemble in ivory, colour was introduced with restraint - through florals and softly upholstered furnishings, cushions selected for their subtle pattern and tactile depth. From morning into afternoon, the space evolved quietly with the light, offering a composed, enduring frame for moments shared and remembered.

Day Two · The Nikkah

The journey continued in the Alder Room, where Shiza and Ibrahim gathered with those closest to them for the most sacred moment of their celebration.

Bathed in natural light and softened through pastel tones, relaxed seating and meadow-inspired florals, the space was designed to feel gentle and intimate. A setting that allowed loved ones to sit close, to witness, to feel present.

As Shiza walked in to a rendition of Wohi Khuda Hai, the room felt almost suspended in time. A moment rooted in gratitude, faith and quiet reflection. The atmosphere was calm, reverent and deeply emotional, mirroring the sanctity of the Nikkah itself.

Layered bespoke details and the subtle scent of roses drifted through the room, creating an experience that felt dreamlike yet grounding. Soft, understated and profoundly meaningful.

A quieter counterpoint to the rhythm of the Mehndi.

As the evening unfolded, the Green Club and bar were reimagined as a relaxed breakout space. A place to pause, gather and engage, while the festivities continued elsewhere. Deepened green tones, darker linens and modern drapery set the mood, layered with experiential touches designed to invite interaction.

Bespoke game boards formed part of the styling, elevating the space beyond aesthetics alone and encouraging guests to linger, connect and enjoy the moment.

When we style a wedding, we consider the entire environment. Limekiln is rich with characterful corners, each offering an opportunity to shape the guest experience. Here, every detail was placed with intention, allowing the space to feel quietly curated and entirely at ease within its surroundings.

Months in the making, brought together in a matter of hours.

Behind the scenes, everything moves with intention. Hands working in rhythm, details layered carefully, characterful spaces gently reimagined rather than overtaken - familiar, yet quietly transformed.

It was a true privilege to design for Shiza - a celebration defined by colour, culture and the understated charm of this remarkable venue.

For Shiza’s Mehndi, comfort was just as important as colour and craftsmanship. We curated a relaxed lounge experience throughout Poplar Hall featuring daybeds draped in rich jamawar, ottomans and intimate round tables, ensuring guests could settle in and enjoy the celebration from every angle.

The floor plan was carefully considered, balancing generous seating with a natural flow across the room. A vibrant palette echoed the Mehndi’s energy while ivory textiles softened the scheme, allowing every detail to sit harmoniously within Limekiln’s interiors.
