A little bit of Grayson Perry for our portfolio… 😊

We recently worked with the Museum of Croydon on the graphics for The Essex House Tapestries: The Life of Julie Cope by Grayson Perry.

With tapestries this colourful and richly detailed, our job was very much to let the artwork take centre stage. Using the Museum’s existing visual identity, we selected a soft pink and burgundy palette to complement Perry’s work and kept the graphic treatment deliberately simple.

Alongside the exhibition graphics, we designed the poster and promotional materials, exhibition title and interpretation, labels, large-print guide, and The Ballad of Julie Cope displayed across the gallery walls.

And we popped back at the weekend for a family visit to see our work in situ – alongside the rather more extensive Creative Health exhibition next door!

The Essex House Tapestries: The Life of Julie Cope is at the Museum of Croydon until 19 September 2026.

Yesterday evening we visited the Kingston School of Art Graphic Design degree show in Peckham. 😊

This year we’ve been lecturing on the Level 5 (second year) graphic design course, so we don’t know the graduating Level 6 cohort as well. Even so, it’s always a pleasure to see the breadth of thinking, craft and creativity on display at the degree show.

Here are just a few of the projects that caught our eye. Congratulations to everyone exhibiting, and wishing this year’s graduates all the very best as they begin the next stage of their creative careers.

Earlier this month Creative Health opened at the Museum of Croydon 💚

Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Croydon’s Creative Health team to develop the visual system and exhibition design for this new exhibition exploring the role that arts, culture and creativity can play in supporting health and wellbeing.

Building on the wider Museum of Croydon visual identity, we created a design system that extends across the exhibition graphics, interpretation and promotional materials. Rather than drawing on familiar healthcare aesthetics, we wanted the exhibition to feel organic, welcoming and creative – using colour, materiality and craft to unite 14 inspiring community case studies across seven themes.

It’s been particularly rewarding to see participants experiencing the exhibition and their work displayed together for the first time.
