On Remembrance Sunday, we paused to honour and remember all those who have served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The team at Ollywood paid our respects and reflected on the meaning of service, dedication, and resilience.
As many may know, Ollywood's Managing Director, Oli Williams, served in the RAF , and our Operations Manager, Nick Howells, served in the Army.
Together, their service spans over 20 years. Nick remains an active reservist here in Wales.
A few months ago, we attended the Welsh Veteran Awards (Veterans Awards CIC) and the veterans who lead our team at Ollywood, were recognised.
Oli, was recognised as a finalist in two categories at this year’s Welsh Veteran Awards.
🏆 Gold Winner – Entrepreneur of the Year
Sponsored by Pinnacle Complete Office Solutions and presented by Clive Hamilton, this award recognises Oli’s outstanding leadership, innovation, and commitment to supporting veterans through business and creativity.
🥉 Bronze Winner – Leader of the Year
Sponsored by NAFESE, this further highlights Oli’s dedication to empowering others and inspiring growth within the team and wider community.
Nick, was recognised in one category at the year's Welsh Veteran Awards.
🥉 Bronze Winner - Reservist of the Year.
Sponsored by Sierra Nevada Corporation Mission Systems UK (SNC Mission Systems UK). This award recognises Nick's commitment, professionalism, and balance as he continues to serve our country, while excelling in his civilian career here at Ollywood.
Oli and Nick bring over 20 years of combined Military and Army experience to the head of Ollywood. This depth of service and experience continues to shape the company’s ability to remain resilient, adaptable, especially in times of difficulty. They are values that unite us — service, integrity, and commitment.
We’re honoured to see our team’s service, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit recognised.
As a personal note, professional or not. I am incredibly proud of Oli and Nick. They hold this day and this week closer than I can truly understand, but I know that I am grateful for them and their service and want to celebrate their achievements.
