Yesterday marked the successful launch of our Aspiring Leaders development course, part of the Future Leaders programme at Glasgow Clyde College. It was a privilege to facilitate day one, and I was genuinely inspired by the energy, engagement, and thoughtful contributions from everyone involved. The calibre of emerging talent at Glasgow Clyde College is exceptional - there’s no doubt we’re nurturing some truly outstanding leaders of tomorrow.

Absolutely appalled by the response I received from Leanne, Customer Service Advisor at Avanti West Coast. Her complete lack of accountability and empathy was staggering. Not only did she brush off the chaos surrounding the train fault, but she also seemed utterly indifferent to the fact that we were abandoned at Oxenholme station for over THREE HOURS—left in the dark, with zero communication, no updates, nothing.
And then, with astonishing audacity, Leanne smugly declared that Avanti West Coast had "fulfilled the journey and provided transport to London Euston." Fulfilled? Really? I arrived in London a full SEVEN HOURS late, exhausted and furious. If this is what Avanti considers acceptable service, then I dread to think what they classify as a failure.
I’ve got three more trips to London next month. Avanti West Coast won’t be getting a single one of them. Not after this disgrace.
