Some of our team recently attended the Hub & Spoke Employment Law Roadshow hosted by Ware & Kay Solicitors.

A really informative session, helping us stay up to date with the latest employment law changes and best practice. ⚖️📚

Thanks to Ware & Kay Solicitors for a great event! 👏

A little reminder to take a break 💚

In the lead-up to World Mental Health Day, we have put together some “Take a Break” bags for our G&A Security team, which we will be delivering to staff over the next few days.

With a brew, a biscuit and some information about support, each bag is a small reminder to pause, take five and make time for yourself.

With Mental Health First Aid England (MHFA) training and MHFA Champions within our team, we want everyone to feel comfortable talking about mental health and know there’s someone they can turn to for a supportive conversation.

Looking after our people matters every day. These bags are a little way of showing we care. 💚

Coffee, cake and a great cause!

We had a lovely morning visiting the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) for a charity coffee morning hosted by Brunel Group.

A big thank you to Brunel Group for bringing everyone together, and to the Great North Air Ambulance Service team for welcoming us. It was a pleasure to show our support for the incredible lifesaving work they do in our communities. 💚

If you’d like to support their fundraising for the Great North Air Ambulance Service, any donation would be hugely appreciated and all donations are being matched by Aviva

A look behind the scenes at G&A Security.

There’s plenty of practical work behind every security installation, from preparing the equipment to fitting, testing and getting everything ready for use.

Here’s a glimpse of that work on site.

In the early hours of this morning, we were burgled again for the second time in 2023. This time, the difference was the quality of our security system, thanks to G and A Security.

The police were already en route to the club before a brick was thrown through the window, and the security lights and siren made them panic. They did a quick sn**ch of a couple of bottles of spirits and prised open the till for a handful of coins, thankfully, that is all they took!

By the time we arrived, the police had a drone up scanning the area for them; judging by the police time of arrival, they only missed them by a few minutes. With a bit of luck, we will have some lovely clear images for the police when the proper security footage is downloaded.

Previous break-ins have ranged from 5k damage to them burning the place down. We cannot thank enough.

In addition, response was terrific; the responding officers were fantastic and nearly caught the culprits.

We were proud sponsors of Darlington Rugby Football Club putting a team forward for the International Krasiko Beach Rugby 5’s Tournament 2022, held over in Burgas, Bulgaria at the weekend.

We were also able to watch the team play live on Sportlane TV in blistering heat ☀️

Roll on 2023!

It’s time to embrace the sunniest season of the year! ☀️

This summer looks set to be one of the busiest times we have seen in a while, with many high-profile events already booked in the national and local calendar.

As the event period is now upon us, remember to stay safe.

Be aware, know what to do in an emergency and stay in control!
