❤️ TODAY’S THE DAY! 73 MILES. 24 HOURS. HOW FAR WILL THEY GET?

Today our team and clients are attempting to walk the 73-mile length of Hadrian’s Wall in just 24 hours, raising money for the .

We’re doing it in memory of Matt Green from , who sadly passed away very suddenly a couple of weeks ago, and for a charity that’s particularly close to our hearts.

Tom has also benefited from the work of the British Heart Foundation over the last 12 months, so we want to raise as much as we possibly can.

Ready to take on more wood flooring projects with confidence?

Following the success of our first two Wood Floor Installation courses, we’ve launched two new dates alongside Ben Burns from :

📍 Cockerill & Co HQ, Darlington
📅 6th and 7th October

📍 , Southampton
📅 17th and 18th November

This is practical, hands-on training built around real installation work. You’ll learn the key differences between fitting LVT, laminate and real wood, while developing skills including setting out, border work, herringbone and chevron installation.

It’s ideal for apprentices, experienced LVT fitters moving into wood, or installers who want to sharpen their skills and work more efficiently.

There are only eight places available at each location, and interest has already been strong.

73 miles. 24 hours. How far will we get? 🚶

At 9.00am on Saturday, the Cockerill & Co team will set off from Wallsend and walk along Hadrian’s Wall for 24 hours.

It was already going to be a tough challenge for an important cause, but it now carries even greater meaning.

We’ll also be completing the walk in memory of Matthew Green, who tragically passed away in July after suffering a heart attack at just 36 years old.

We’ll be thinking of Matthew, his family and everyone who knew him as we put one foot in front of the other.
