We’re proud to share some fantastic news, for such a great cause.
Over the past five weeks, our colleagues Nick Marshall and George Strong have taken on an incredible challenge - running four marathons across four UK countries (Belfast, London, Newport, and Edinburgh) in support of our “Screw Prostate Cancer” campaign.
Not only did they complete all four races, but both runners took on each marathon wearing Forgefix custom-designed screw suits to help raise awareness for the cause.
Reflecting on the experience, George said:
“The Screw Prostate Cancer challenge has been one of the hardest things I have undertaken, however, the support from everyone has been overwhelming. Nick and I have become great friends undertaking the challenge together. Ultimately, if we are able to raise some money, increase exposure, and even save one life, all the pain and suffering will be worth it.”
This initiative is part of ForgeFix’s wider commitment to:
- Raise £100,000 for Prostate Cancer UK
- Encourage 100,000 men to use the online risk checker
Thanks to the momentum and support generated so far, Nick and George have now secured places in the Dublin Marathon on 25th October 2026, extending their efforts into the autumn.
As a reminder, ForgeFix continues to contribute through:
- A £2 donation for every sale of Spectre “Screw Prostate Cancer” cases
- 1% of all Spectre screw range sales donated through 2026
With their Spectre “Screw Prostate Cancer” range now available, we all have a part to play. Whether through supporting sales, spreading awareness, or encouraging friends and family to use the Prostate Cancer UK risk checker, every action helps.
This campaign is especially important within the construction sector, where we have a unique opportunity to reach men and encourage early detection.
A huge congratulations and thank you to Nick and George for their outstanding achievement - your efforts are making a real difference.
